A Fine Gardening Company

About Us

Bloom Works is more than a fine gardening company — it is the expression of a lifelong passion for plants, ecology, and the quiet artistry of cultivating beauty.

Founded by Chelsea Lefler, a seasoned gardening professional with 15 years of industry experience. Chelsea’s path to gardening excellence has been deeply rooted in both science and nature. Chelsea Lefler attended Queen’s University, where she pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Geography and GIS. Her studies led to work in conservation biology in the Seychelles, Africa. There, surrounded by rare and resilient landscapes, she discovered that her instinct was always to return to the nursery—reorganizing, pruning, and tending to trees and plants with care. That early love of cultivating life has continued to blossom here at home in Ontario, where her vision intertwines artful design with ecological stewardship.

Bloom works provides gardening services in Brantford, Paris, St. George, Port Dover, Simcoe, Waterford, Ancaster, Stoney Creek and surrounding areas in Ontario;  with a focus on creating gardens that feel both timeless and alive.

At Bloom Works, every garden is designed to tell its own story. We specialize in English gardens, cottage garden, Japanese shade gardens, and naturalized pollinator gardens—landscapes that evolve through continuous waves of seasonal colour and texture. Our designs often feature native and uncommon plant varieties, chosen not only for their beauty but also for their ability to thrive naturally. The result is a sense of harmony — gardens that feel lush, abundant, and deeply connected to place.

Our philosophy is rooted in sustainability. We believe that landscapes can be stunning while also being practical—drought-tolerant, low-maintenance, and resilient through Canadian winters. Many of the spaces we’ve nurtured have become sanctuaries for birds, butterflies, and other wildlife, with several certified as wildlife-friendly through the Canadian Wildlife Federation. To us, these gardens are more than private havens; they are small acts of ecological restoration, giving back to nature while enriching the lives of those who experience them.

Every bloom is placed with intention, every space shaped with love. At Bloom Works, we see gardens not just as outdoor spaces, but as living works of art—crafted with the world around us as our greatest inspiration.
